Plex & Jellyfin

Connect your media server so OrgoMedia knows your library and refreshes it after each change.

Connect Plex or Jellyfin and OrgoMedia becomes aware of your whole library. Open Settings, then Integrations, and follow the steps for your server:

  • Plex: click Connect account, open plex.tv/link and enter the PIN OrgoMedia shows, then pick your server.
  • Jellyfin: click Sign In, enter your server address, and sign in as a Jellyfin administrator. The password is used once and never stored. If someone else runs your Jellyfin server, ask them to sign in.

Once connected, the Plex or Jellyfin card in Integrations shows your server’s name. From then on:

  • Library-aware discovery: the iPhone app knows what’s already in Plex or Jellyfin and shows “In Library” badges while you browse Discover, plus a Watch Now button that opens the title in Plex, or in Swiftfin, the Jellyfin iPhone app.
  • Matching folders: with Plex, open the Plex card in Integrations and, under Library Mappings, pick a Plex library for movies, TV and anime, so renamed files land where Plex looks. Jellyfin needs no mapping.
  • Watched badges: what you have watched in Plex or Jellyfin shows as a badge on its poster, on your Mac and your iPhone. With Jellyfin, each person in the household sees their own.
